The Bacci Experience is three days in Tuscany with Bruno Bacci. It suits musicians who want to understand their instrument well beyond owning it, who value a direct exchange with the maker, and who are glad to take the time to listen, adjust, and learn where and how it was built.
It also suits anyone drawn to Tuscany beyond the usual routes, through smaller villages, daily life and local food. Only four Experiences are offered each year, because the rest of the time is given to making instruments.
I invite my customers to join me in the final stages of crafting it, making it personal and unique.
Bruno Bacci, founder and master luthierFrom your arrival at the airport you are met and taken in. The welcome and the local transfers are arranged, and the three days begin straight away, with the workshop and the people rather than a schedule to keep.

The heart of it is time at the bench. You work directly with Bruno on the final adjustments to your own instrument, and he walks you through the making process and the materials it came from.
It is the part that turns an instrument you own into one you understand: you leave knowing its voice, and how the choices along the way produced it.
The final setup is done together, in the room where the instrument was built, by the maker who built it.
Bruno hosts a dinner with Tuscan food and local wine. It is simple on purpose, the setting rural and informal, and it is as much a part of the three days as the time at the bench.

You are paired with a dedicated local guide for the stay, who introduces you to Tuscany through its art, history and food, in Florence, Lucca and Pisa, and in the smaller villages and everyday settings in between.
Four people a year take part, and each is spoken with first. These are the things that are included for every one of them.
The airport welcome and local transfers throughout the stay.
Private access to the workshop and time with Bruno for the final adjustments to your instrument, plus an introduction to the making process and the materials.

Guided visits focused on art, history and food in Florence, Lucca and Pisa, and time in smaller villages and everyday local settings.
It starts with a conversation, not a booking form. Tell Bruno who you are and how you travel, and if it is a good fit you agree the dates together.
